LOCAL RACES
We are always looking for interested, involved, capable and caring citizens who want to make Oswego County a better place to live.
Now is the time to consider being a candidate in the 2019 elections. The process of running for office starts long before the election. Starting early allows time for planning and gathering a team and resources. Petitions are circulated in June to get a spot on the ballot in November. Training sessions are held in the spring.
We are looking for qualified candidates. If you are interested in running for an office, contact us for information. We will help you learn what you need to do to run a successful campaign and assist you throughout the process.
Most local offices are elected in the odd years. State and Federal positions are usually in the even years.
If you would like to receive the endorsement of the Oswego County Democratic Committee, please complete this application and attend a meeting of the Committee to request the endorsement.
